State vs. Federal oversight of CFPs

I've noticed some talk about state bills that might change how financial planners use the CFP mark. I'm wondering what you all think, should the federal government keep overseeing this, or should states get more involved? Any thoughts from CFP pros or anyone else in the field?

Honestly, yeah? States getting involved would just make it messy with different rules everywhere. I think keeping it federal makes more sense for consistency.
