new to financial planning looking for a solid IMO

I'm taking my health test in two days and getting into financial planning. I have a solid background in real estate sales and online lead generation, plus I've spent a couple of years flipping houses, which I've mostly handed off now.

I looked into WFG. The industry seemed good, but the compensation plan didn't sit well with me.

I'm hoping to find a good IMO that provides training, mentorship, and room to grow. I'd like to start with joint appointments at a 50/50 split and then move to better splits as my team expands.

Any suggestions?

For IMOs, I'd recommend checking out ones known for strong mentorship like 21st Century or AmeriLife, they often offer good training and flexible splits as you grow your team

That test is just a small step, about 5% of the way there. Once you earn your CFP, you'll truly be able to call yourself a "financial planner." Everything else is just background noise. Look into groups like Agents National, Insureio, or Haven Life, they're known for fair splits and solid support. Good luck!!

Too many IMOs dangle training just to lock you into bad splits forever. The real money's in building your own book fast, not padding someone else's override with endless joint appointments.
