I passed my Series 65 some time ago, but I stepped away from registration due to family commitments. I've heard that getting the CHFC designation might let you skip the Series 65 if you want to become a registered investment advisor. Has anyone had any experience with this?
Additionally, is there any rule about how long you can stay unregistered before you need to retest? If I do need to retake it, I'd love to go for the CHFC to broaden my knowledge since the CFP isn't a viable option for me.
